Last year was an incredibly pivotal year for the Alliance. In November 2022, we officially rebranded as the Global Alliance for Tobacco Control and launched a whole new membership structure for the Alliance called the GATC Community.

In our 2022 Annual Report we highlight our recent transition to the GATC and also discuss our work on:

  • Accelerating WHO FCTC implementation
  • Aligning tobacco control with development and the SDGs
  • Promoting budget advocacy as a domestic resource mobilization strategy

Our 2022 Annual Report also includes a Year in Review section. In this section, we highlight a selection of Alliance projects and some activities led by those in the GATC Community, partner organizations, and previous FCA members.

Thank you to everyone for your contributions and support in 2022 and we look forward to working with you throughout the remainder of 2023.
