In the fall of 2022, a new Strategic Plan for the 2022-2025 period was developed. The plan builds upon previous strategic plans and also discusses the organization’s transition to the Global Alliance for Tobacco Control.
The new strategy outlines the GATC’s plans to accelerate progress on WHO FCTC implementation through evidence-based solutions and how we will raise the profile of tobacco control in the global health and development agendas. We will support action in these key areas through four strategic pillars including:
- Policy development and advocacy
- Knowledge translation and exchange
- Capacity building
- The convening stakeholders and partners
